  • Lightweight body with carbon panels

What's not

  • Punishing ride on broken pavement
  • Loud cabin, tiring on long trips
  • Very poor outward visibility
  • Tiny trunk swallows little luggage

The engine

5.2L V10

Naturally Aspirated V10

A free-breathing, high-revving V10 that screams to 8,000+ rpm with a flat-plane, hard-edged shriek and instant throttle response unmuffled by turbos. In the STO it is tuned for raw, motorsport-derived intensity rather than easy torque.

Shared between Lamborghini and Audi, it was the first all-new engine developed by Lamborghini after Audi's 1998 takeover, starting as a 5.0L in the 2003 Gallardo before growing to 5.2L. The engines are hand-assembled at Audi's plant in Gyor, Hungary.
