Coded L84, this 5.3-liter EcoTec3 is the fifth generation of GM's small-block truck V8 lineage and the direct successor to the L83. It launched in the 2019 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado and is shared across the Yukon, Tahoe and Suburban.
