The engine

High Feature (LFY)

3.6L V6

A naturally aspirated, direct-injected V6 with a smooth, linear power delivery and a willingness to rev, giving the Enclave easygoing, drama-free performance.

The LFY belongs to GM's long-running High Feature V6 family and is essentially the proven LFX with an added stop/start system; it debuted in the 2018 Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse.

The High Feature V6 lineage it comes from powered everything from the Chevrolet Camaro to Cadillacs and the Buick LaCrosse.
It is mechanically nearly identical to the earlier LFX, the main change being the addition of automatic engine stop/start.
Buick eventually retired this V6 from the Enclave in favor of a smaller 2.5-liter turbocharged four.
