The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 (EA825) was developed by Porsche and is built in Zuffenhausen, shared across the Volkswagen Group; Bentley integrates it with a hybrid system and final assembly at its Crewe home in England.

In the Continental GT Speed, this hybrid powertrain makes it the most powerful production Bentley road car ever built.
The 25.9 kWh battery sits behind the rear axle to sharpen weight distribution and enables roughly 50 miles of pure-electric driving.
