Bentley's Ultra Performance Hybrid combines a twin-turbo V8 with a strong electric motor for the most powerful Continental GT ever, the e-motor filling in instantly off idle so there is no turbo lag and a near-silent surge before the V8 wakes with a muscular bellow.

It pairs the VW Group 4.0 TFSI V8 with a plug-in hybrid system, replacing the long-running W12 as the Continental GT Speed's flagship powertrain and built in Crewe, England.

Combined output reaches 771 hp and 738 lb-ft, making this the most powerful road-going Continental GT Bentley has ever produced.
It can drive around 50 miles on electricity alone and cruise on battery power at up to 87 mph.
Because the engine can simply switch off in electric mode, Bentley dropped cylinder deactivation entirely from this V8.
