The verdict

What's good

  • Dual-motor AWD adds genuine wet-weather confidence to the family SUV role
  • Sport trim curiously sharp handling for a full-size family electric SUV
  • Curved panoramic cockpit display is a tech showpiece in the family SUV segment
  • 270-mile range plus AWD traction covers UK/European winter use cases well

What's not

  • 270-mile range shrinks faster in cold with AWD energy draw
  • DC fast-charge speed still below Tesla Model Y AWD standard
  • Heavy curb weight dulls steering response at lower speeds
  • Rear cargo height is compromised by dual-motor and battery packaging

The engine

Dual Motor Electric

Dual-Motor Electric AWD

In dual-motor guise the e-3008 layers a rear motor onto the front unit for instant all-wheel-drive shove, swelling combined output to 320 hp and giving the SUV a smooth, surge-on-demand character with a low planted feel from its floor-mounted pack.

Built by Stellantis, the e-3008 was the very first series-production car to launch on the group's new STLA Medium platform, an architecture engineered from the ground up for EVs rather than adapted from a combustion car.
