The e-208 and e-2008 deliver brisk, quiet around-town pace from a single front motor, with the relaxed low-speed torque that makes small EVs feel livelier than their numbers suggest.

They ride on the e-CMP electric version of the Common Modular Platform, jointly developed by PSA (now Stellantis) and China's Dongfeng for compact cars across multiple Stellantis brands.

• The very same electric drive unit is shared across Peugeot, Citroën, Opel/Vauxhall and DS small cars, a hallmark of Stellantis' modular strategy.
• Peugeot traces its electric-car lineage back to the wartime VLV, a tiny battery-powered city car the brand built in the early 1940s.
• The shared platform was designed from the outset to take either combustion or electric power on the same production line.
