A single front-mounted motor gives smooth, quiet, instant-on torque with relaxed rather than aggressive delivery, tuned for refinement over outright thrust.

The RZ is Lexus's first purpose-built global EV, riding on the e-TNGA platform co-developed with Subaru and shared with the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra.

The 300e variant is front-wheel drive only, unusual for the brand whose AWD models dominate.
Its lithium-ion battery pack is supplied by CATL, sized around 72.8 kWh.
