GM's dual-motor Ultium setup gives Chevrolet EVs ferocious, instant all-wheel-drive thrust; in the Blazer EV SS a 'Wide Open Watts' mode unleashes the full output for sub-3.5-second sprints.

These vehicles ride on GM's modular Ultium architecture, a flat skateboard battery-and-motor platform shared with the Cadillac Lyriq, GMC Hummer EV and Honda Prologue.

The Blazer EV SS hides its peak 615-horsepower output behind a 'Wide Open Watts' button, so full power is only available on demand.
Ultium's battery cells can be stacked vertically or horizontally, letting one platform underpin everything from a low sedan to a full-size pickup.
The Silverado EV uses GM's truck-specific BT1 version of the platform rather than the SUV-oriented variant.
