A supercharged pushrod V8 that delivers a relentless, whining tidal wave of low-end torque and a wide-open exhaust roar, turning a full-size pickup into a desert-storming muscle truck.

Built by Stellantis (formerly FCA) and engineered by the SRT performance group; the Hellcat name follows SRT's tradition of naming engines after WWII military aircraft, honoring the Grumman F6F Hellcat naval fighter.

• The same supercharged 6.2L architecture debuted in the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat before migrating into the Jeep Trackhawk, Durango SRT, and the TRX.
• In the TRX it was detuned slightly to 702 hp (versus 707 in the cars) but recalibrated for off-road durability and constant high-load running.
• The supercharger's lid alone helps gulp enough air that the engine ingests the equivalent of a party balloon of air every single combustion cycle at full song.
