Single-Motor Rear-Wheel-Drive Electric

A single rear-mounted motor gives the EQS450+ smooth, silent rear-drive torque and prioritizes efficiency and range over outright acceleration.

It rides on Mercedes' dedicated EVA2 electric platform, the architecture underpinning the EQS flagship sedan and shared with the smaller EQE.

Updated EQS450+ models switched from a 400-volt to an 800-volt architecture, raising peak DC charging from around 200 kW to 350 kW.
In WLTP testing the rear-drive EQS450+ achieves one of the longest ranges of any production EV, rated well over 900 km.
