Dual-Motor Electric
Two electric motors — one per axle — give Mercedes' EQ models silent, instant all-wheel-drive thrust, with the rears doing most of the work for efficiency until grip demands the front.
Built on Mercedes' dedicated EVA electric architecture, these drive units descend from the same engineering that gave the EQS a record-setting drag coefficient and 400-plus-mile range.
The EQS sedan posted a 0.20 drag coefficient — the slipperiest production car in the world at launch.
The front motor can fully disconnect to cut drag and stretch range.
