2.0L Turbo I4

A twin-scroll turbo gives this four eager low-end response, with GM's valve trickery letting it shuffle between full power and frugal cruising almost imperceptibly.

General Motors' LSY engine, used across the Cadillac CT4, CT5, XT4 and other models, part of GM's modern global four-cylinder turbo program.

It uses a three-step sliding camshaft GM markets as Tripower, switching between high-power, economy, and two-cylinder cylinder-deactivation modes.
The twin-scroll turbocharger is designed to build usable torque low in the rev range for stronger off-the-line response.
The same fundamental engine appears across much of Cadillac's range, from compact sedans to SUVs, in varying states of tune.
