Aston's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 trades the old naturally-aspirated bellow for savage, hot-vee turbocharged thrust — re-tuned with bespoke intake, exhaust and software to sound and feel unmistakably Aston.

Sourced from Mercedes-AMG in Affalterbach as part of a technical partnership, then re-engineered by Aston Martin to suit the lighter, more agile character of cars like the Vantage and DB12.

The block comes from AMG but Aston fits its own intake, exhaust and calibration to change its voice.
The same basic engine powers the Mercedes-AMG GT, tuned very differently.
