The M20A-FXS is a Dynamic Force inline-four launched in 2018, here mounted on Toyota's second-generation TNGA-C platform for the fifth-generation Prius unveiled in November 2022.

It runs a sky-high 14:1 compression ratio and reaches roughly 41% thermal efficiency, among the highest of any production gasoline engine.
The fifth-gen Prius is the most fuel-efficient version ever, rated up to 57 mpg combined.
