2.0L Turbo I4

A torque-rich, turbocharged four that gives entry models brisk, flexible punch; in the F-Type it brings a lighter nose and sharper turn-in, even if it lacks the supercharged engines' theater.

From Jaguar Land Rover's modular Ingenium family announced in 2014, designed in-house to replace Ford-sourced engines; it's built at JLR's purpose-built Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, England.

The 300PS F-Type P300 was the first four-cylinder F-Type ever, and notably turbocharged while the car's V6 and V8 siblings used superchargers.
Ingenium's launch in late 2015 ended Jaguar's reliance on engines from Ford's Bridgend plant in Wales.
The Wolverhampton facility was built with a roughly half-billion-pound investment to bring Jaguar engine production back in-house.
